Female Kenyan Runner Collapses During Marathon | Gets Back Up, Crawls & Finishes 3rd

A 29-year-old Kenyan marathon runner, <strong>Hyvon Ngetich,</strong>
 took part in the Austin Marathon on Sunday. She was in the lead, and on
 her way to winning the race, but all of a sudden, with just two-tenths 
of a mile left to run, her body began to break down. She subsequently 
collapsed, <strong>Huffington Post</strong> reports.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Unable
 to walk or run, medical personnel offered Ngetich a wheelchair, 
intending to take her off the tracks. Determined to finish the race, she
 declined and proceeded to crawl to the finish line. She eventually 
finished in third place.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Austin Marathon race director <strong>John Conley</strong> was so impressed by her determination, that he rewarded her by increasing her prize money to that of a second-place finisher.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Referring
 to Ngetich as the toughest person on the planet, Conley said, “You ran 
the bravest race and crawled the bravest crawl I have ever seen in my 
life,” he told her. “You have earned much honor.”</div>

The annual revenue list, topped for an incredible 10th straight year by Real Madrid, shows Barcelona have fallen behind Manchester United and Bayern Munich into fourth place after recording only a €2 million increase in receipts on 2012-13 – the smallest gain among the top 10 clubs.</div>

The blow comes despite the high-profile signing of Brazilian superstar Neymar in the summer of 2013, with commercial revenue having fallen by two per cent over the last two full seasons. The slump also coincides with a period during which the club was at the centre of a scandal which saw the resignation as president of Sandro Rosell.</div>

Austin Houlihan, senior manager at Deloitte’s Sports Business Group, told <strong>Goal</strong> that the drop is a natural response to their relative lack of success in recent times.</div>

“Barcelona is an interesting one insomuch as their revenue growth, when comparing 2013-14 to the previous year, isn’t as great as some of the other clubs around them,” said Houlihan.</div>

The top ten is made up entirely of Germans and there are three players 
who still play in the Bundesliga - Manuel Neuer, Bastian Schweinsteiger 
and Philipp Lahm - who became world champions last year.<br />

Reports emerged last month of Arsenal’s plans for a pre-season 
friendly in the world’s seventh largest country next year, but Sky 
sources understand nothing is close to being finalised.<br />
Liverpool 
will play in Australia next pre-season for the second year in succession
 and are thought to be considering a number of options for a friendly 
game on their way back.<br />
And Garcia, who has just clinched the 
inaugural Indian Super League (ISL) title with Atletico Kolkata, hopes 
the Reds elect to play that match in India. <br />
“I think it would be very good for Liverpool to play in India,” Garcia told <em>Sky Sports</em>.<br />
“The players already know that across Asia there is a big family of Reds but I would love to see them play in India.<br />
